somebody has just confirmed to me that micheal par , markko martins co driver has succomed to his injuries sustained !!

i havent got sky or anything , so i havent been watching ?

Yes mate it's true. He died on stage 15 of the welsh rally. They cancelled the rest of the stages

Very sad news - heard about it this afternoon on ITV WRC program. Happened after hitting a tree on the co-drivers side.

Very sad Isin't it.

That must have been 1 hell of an impact considering how we take it for granted they just walk away from some of the crashes they do.

I just hope it gets the respectful mention it deserves in the press and no massive publicity because of such a tragedy.

Sad news indeed.

Unfortunately side impacts are always the worst ... there are no crumple-zones to take any of the impact, so the effect on the occupants is a lot more severe.

Very Sad, You must commend the other drivers and organisers for there actions afterwards. especially Sebastian loeb who took a time penalty to avoid winning the title in such sad circumstances.

It sounded like the FIA were really off hand there, they wouldn't accept that the other Peugeot was withdrawn from the event, even though there were no more stages to be run!
