rant about businesses
heres my rant and a few pointers about businesses doing ok for themselves
And Ive never been able to think how they ever started doing well for themselves because
1) most businesses couldnt organise a wee up in a PUB
2.) when you phone an ask about THERE products they dont know what the bleep there talking about or cant give you a SIMPLE straight answer.
3.) theyre dick heads
"A: alright mate I take it you do machining"
"B:yes thats right"
A: OK well Ive got two driveshafts which need a slight bit of machining for a cash in hander
b" Ok can I ask what the name of your business is first!!!!!"
A: WTF??
A: sorry for bothering you then its just that I must be thinking old fashioned business like that when someone offers you a small cash job you say no
probs no questions,IT MUST BE ME!
4) 20 years ago if you were self employed and someone offered a job and said ill pay cash you snapped there hands off
because trying to get business to pay invoices would take 60 days theyd take so long
BUT NOW when you offer to pay with cash or straight away debit card etc IM talking trade bulk buy..
youd think you was a alien with the responses Ill just have to get confirmation that its ok for you to pay with cash etc etc bla bla
5) and this is deffinatley a part of the kit car industry..
THEY ARE MAJORLY DISORGANISED
I could go on

Cash jobs - i assume the business in question didnt know you. And you telephoned them. How do they know you are not from the authorities. it may be
that a cash job is sometimes not worth the risk.
I share you frustration with asking advice to find they know less than you. PC World springs to mind.
You never really know how to pitch the initial conversation. I remember reading an article from Puma that covered this topic. Interesting insight into
the professional mind. Do you come across as a numpty and treat them like they are the God of their world and risk not being taken seriously and
getting ripped off or do you try and speak on their level and wee them off for trying to teach them to suck eggs??????
If it is a kit car company that you have been in touch with dare i suggest that you should try another. I can think of at least one that will bend
over backwards to help you i fthey can. If they cant you will get a straight answer.
Ill not mention who as iam at risk of being labelled as being in cahoots with them as i rave on about them so much (iam just a very satisfied
customer).

Thats a bit different then. I guess at the end of the day if you have asked them to do something that is not strictly legal ref invoicing so they have
the right to say know, unless of course you simply offered immediate payment for a simple job. In which case i see your point.
I must admit i would expect them to snap your hand off as well.
