Why is dyslexia so hard to spell ?

yours, Pete

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

If he is, it does explain where my money has gone and why the rest of my kit is not materialising!

My understanding (which may be wrong)
is that Darren bought KitCarBuilds which used to build the 30s roadsters but he only bought the company and workshop and not the rights to the YKC range.
I think he does have something to do with JBA now , last time i saw him was at Exeter and they were advertising stuff there.

whether he has or hasnt I reckon that a lot of kit car companies are pissing around buying testing other business oppurtunties!!

AND NOT looking after current customers who have given them money for original items and if they are there rushing things at the last minute ending in late or poor(er) quality items

After a 10+ month wait and a chassis that is missing rails and has suspension mounts in the wrong place I can testify to zxrlocost's comment.

From what i gather the body parts issues will soon be resolved, there is a thread about it in the GTS section at the mo.
Some bloke with a top name is starting full time in the new year.

But the boss will be the same and the company will still be managed badly...

Start a thread entitled 'Where's Darren?' That usually does the trick.

well, on the bright side, he wont be taking (m)any new orders from the forum, so theres a chance (if he remembers) he might clear some back orders!

I think he has yet to realise that "Whinging little girls" (read: customers) are his bread and butter

Totally agree, from what Ive read Darren appears to think that those who post on here complaining about him dont actually try very hard to contact him and just like complaining for complaining's sake. However, none of the other companies represented on here seem to have the same issue whereby customers continuiously chase on here so either a) GTS Tuning are the only Locost company who have inept / lazy customers that don't really try to get hold of him and prefer posting about it on here, or b) he's not doing his job properly and isnt looking after his customers.

I think I know which answer I'd plump for

When i ordered my parts after talking with darren i thought that the people who waited a long time were in the minority and it would never happen to me.
The first i guess still could be true however i may be one of the minority.

ive been on here for 3 years + (in my other guise) and ive seen many posts about Darren being hard to contact, and people not getting bits.

The usual reasons given was it was his day job getting in the way.

If I get crap service from anyone, I dont use them again. Do that for long enough and a company will pi$$ off all its core customers, by word of mouth or experience.

From the looks of the cross-advertised websites (and snail mail addresses)

KCB Sports Cars
JBA ENgineering / JBA Cars
Kit Car Builds
Duratec Power
GTS Tuning

are all inter-related.

Aquila (ex-YKC) don't have any obvious links...
