Another Crash ...... :(
Ok, the curse has been passed on.
A bloke used to work in my company who had a crash every christmas! Last year i was in the car with him and he had a spectacular crash.
He left at the start of december.
Guess what just happened? Been off work ill, my car is broken so a mate gave me a lift in. Got to a huge roundabout and as we're going round i
think "he's not going to stop"
get myself into the brace position as the head lights from the car joining the roundabout are going straight for me and ..
bang.
spin
phew - still in one peice, seems the guy saw me and swerved at the last minute to avoid killing me. Hit the rear wheel. Car now probably written off.
Everyone shaken.
folks - be careful! in a seven that would have been very painful.

You are a lucky chap,
It reminds me why I hate being a passenger.

mate this is not a dig at you because obviously you were passenger but your mate was going to fast..
I dropped my girlfriend of to work and picked her up this week because she is a good general driver but she needs to just go round locally in these
conditions not go 25 miles to work
reason being her temp gauge was reading -7 yesterday
now I dont know if these "EXPERIENCED DRIVERS" no this but water freezes at 0'c
Id like to remind people that when your dead your dead and so is the person innocently killed by them aswell
Ive locked my wheels up on ice before and that was just in a back street doing a few mph I dont wish to do it at 40mph

Hold on, we where hit !!!
We where already on the round about. The guy who hit us admitted he didn't see the car. His screen was a little misted & i guess we must
have been in the door pillar for his approach to the round about. He was going too fast & not paying attention.
I've also hit sheet ice at 2mph. Scared the daylights out of me as i pulled out of my parking space, into a side street, honestly didn't
do more than a couple of mph because of the ice and i stop 10m up the road for a junction. Pressed the brake and skidded across the raised junction
looking at a car approaching from the left. He avoided me and gave me the stare of "are you stupid!". Not a lot i could do as i had no
control.

nowt like jumping to conclusions is there!
glad to hear no one was hurt mike, bad time to be on the roads this last week.
had a laugh yesterday, went to pick a friend up who lives in a rather posh out of the way road that doesn't know what a gritting truck looks
like! turned the corner straight on to snow/ice at 5mph maximum, breathed on the brake pedal and waved at my friend as i slid straight past her house!
be carefull out there folks!
built a car, built a home, had a family. lost the family, lost the home, still got the car.

Snow and ice - great! Find an empty supermarket carpark late at night and find out how your car handles in the snow and ice... good practice and great
fun. You don't have to go fast either, good practice for the missus doing starts and brakes without fear of her doing any damage...
Oh - got friggin' snowballed by the local yob's - till I got out and had a snowball fight with 'em! Makes it easier next time!
Good fun but my arm ache the morning after!

In scandanavian countries, you have to go on a skid pan and prove you can control the car before they let you on the roads......
keep thinking it would be a good idea here!

I watched an old episode of topgear the other day an sanjeev baskar (or sumit) was on telling of when he goes of to india to visit his cousins, an
they were drivin along the road like lunatics when he said to his cousin are you not afraid you crash an die! to which his cousin said "if I
crash and die, it was my time to die", then sanjeev said what if you hit someone else and they die! to which he said "well then it was his
turn to die".
Just think it was funnie
