HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! weeeeeeeeee

I'm 40 tomorrow

And I was 40 last November.

It's not sore - honest.
(Although my gammy foot played up at the end of the Autosport show).

Ah, 1987... I remember it w... well actually I don't. I do remember my Dad teaching me to drive (he was an instructor) and I learnt in a Toyota Starlet 1.0GL. It was my Mum's way of putting me off getting a motorbike, she let me buy the car from her and still got to use it whenever she wanted! Hmm... I think I was done!

Hmm... Goodmans flat panel speakers... Pet Shop Boys.... Swing Out Sister... Jeeeeeez how sad.

good to here from another ex Metro turbo man. They were a real handful to keep in a straight line. would go from 40 to 80 in about 5 seconds.

happy birthday - ive got a 30 year head start on you

my 17 y/o son started driving 2 days after he was 17 and had a pass less than 4 months later. 20 driving lessons and lots of time with mum and dad.

Dont do what his cousin did - get 6 points in a few months and get knocked back to provisional again......,

I had one too - did a major renovation on it. I found it leapt all over the road too - thought i had a fooked chassis, but perhaps they all did that. I never measured the 40-80 time - dont think it was fast as you recall. I know the 0-60 was 9 secs 'book' - not fast by todays standards but not bad for a 1985 metro

It was woefully undergeared - redlined at 114mph and could be taken to destruction past that if will dictated!

Happy birthday matey! Good luck with them roads....If you don't get in to trouble you can be sure some f*cker will take you down with him! That's what happened to me someone decided to overtake when I was turning right, wrote off my mum's fourtrack...would have been alot worse if I hadn't been in a 4x4! Anyway don't let me put you off, after all this is first step to freedom! Oli.

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.
