New Year Poll revisited

I just thought I'd bring this poll back to the top.

I feel quite strongly that this topic should be deleted.

http://locostbuilders.co.uk/viewthread.php?tid=36736&page=3

It is quite offensive to a certain group of people and I think it gives the wrong impression to visitors about us here - particularly if they only get as far as the front page.

Surely we should encourage new members who might bring more knowledge to the forum not discourage them by displaying derogatory comments on the fist page they see?

81% of us can't be wrong can we?

Getting back off soap box and fetching coat....

Mark

I totally agree Mark but the way I see it is that there are only two people who can actually do anything about it

The originator of the thread locodude and ChrisW

Both visit this site very infrequently and I guess that ChrisW now has other more important priorities. I also get the impression that Locodude feels it's his lasting legacy to the forum and wouldn't be willing to delete it anyhow.

If people actually stopped posting on that thread, it will eventually fall off the bottom of the list. But that isn't likely to happen either

Perhaps if anyone who speaks regularly to the gentlemen concerned sees this they might be kind enough to mention it?

Please? mmmmmm?

Maybe it could drop off the front page by not being the longest running thread by resurecting enough older ones and a few other threads being hit for it to drop off the most viewed.

Perhaps that would keep the 9 who want it to stay lurking happy.

I'm sure that the more discerning motorists in the Caterham fraternity dont care what we poor oiks think anyway...

but, in the spirit of equality and balanced views, why delete the MCOB thread?

instead, just post in the MLOB thread..

simple.

For those who feel strongly about this have the option to delete their own posts, the thready would shrink into obscurity never to resurface

Well I am pleased to say I have never felt the need to post on that thread.

The easiest way to be rid of something like this is to just leave it alone, but as you can see from the latest post's, (jan. 06), people wont, and some of those posting want it removed ??? Daft I call it. Rant over, soapbox safely tucked away.

My one post on the MCOB thread about the originator now being a miserable Ssangyong owning caravanner, and therefore unlikely to visit here has been deleted - hopefully all the rest will be as well.
