Yet another take on the locost theme
First I've heard of this one - Link to sale on
ebay
As it says in the best exam papers, discuss......
Especially the L frame area (not that there is one on this).
The seemingly complete dearth of triangulation about the horizontal axis (lozenging, anyone ?)
And the interesting wishbone design.

i wouldnt sit in that unless it was securely tethered down. it looks like it would split straight down the middle in a front impact.

I'm not normally one to criticise........
BUT the reason I didn't buy a Caterham (ok money aside) was that, having driven one, I found that pixie boots were required to work the pedals,
even with my small size 8s.
Just look at the width of the footwells in that!! Where do you even fit the pedals?
you could mount a V8 up the trans. tunnel

Seems to have a big boot though

"All CCT7 chassis and suspension parts go though our very strict quailty control" - shame the ad wording doesn't.
The chassis seems to be modified from the book for no great reason... My concerns would be...
* Width without bracing especially at rear wishbones mounts under hard braking.
* Strange top wishbone configuration in very thin round tube.
* No photos of rear chassis config, but I suspect not strong enough for wishbone mounts...
Compare this with my pics from Autosport of the Caterham SV chassis...

Indeed - the Caterham is a proper birdcage. (With apologies to the Maserati brothers).

any ideas what lower bj's it takes? the wishones top and bottom look suspect, and as for the rear upright, it looks like a rough version of the
mk one.
the rear of the caterham chassis is engineering porn!
i'm not convinced about the ebay one though
