part built car covered on insurance??
I'm becoming more and more aware that I have spent a fair amount on my part built luego viento (approx £5000 so far) and am starting to wonder
about insuring it somehow, Does anyone else have their part built car covered on their insurance? whether it is home insurance or some sort of car
policy? I wish I could keep it in a garage but I'm one of those mad outdoor builders - who wants to build the car but doesn't have the
covered space (plenty of driveway that goes behind the house tho)
Cheers.

I believe that Adrian Flux do build-up insurance. Ring them and ask how much it is, shouldnt be much.
However usually anything that is within your property boundary is covered on your household insurance anyway but I am not sure if all insurers are
like that.

I got build-up insurance from Osborne & Sons - waste of money. Although the balance was supposed to be refundable against the first year's
"full" insurance, they were so uncompetitive that I ended up going to Adrian Flux.
One thing you should check once you get that far is how long they will let you have onroad insurance without SVA/registration. Adrian Flux gave me 30
days, no extensions, which I made with 1 day to spare after not making my first SVA appointment.. luckily passed the first time I actually got to the
SVA centre!

I had a similar problem as I went on holiday for two weeks directly after SVA, I phoned Adrian Flux and explained the situation and they extended the
cover for another 2 weeks.
I have to say they were excellent.
