Suppliers for large bore underground pipe?
Hi,
I have a burn (stream) flowing through my back garden right next to my boundary fence. My next door neighbours have the same situation and they put a
large pipe in years ago (before we moved in) and covered it in top soil to allow them to make use of the space. We would like to do the same and I am
trying to find a supplier for this sort of pipe. Does anyone know of any brand names or supply companies who might be able to help? According to my
neighbour the pipes were about 6 or 7 meters long and they are about 2 or 3 feet diameter. I think they are clay or concrete or similar.
Our neighbours used a local farmer to install the pipe since he had some left overs from another job but I'm unlikely to be so lucky this
time.
By the way, does anyone know if I need planning permission for something like this (in Scotland) or if I need to talk to any of the environmental
agencies (rivers authority or whatever they are called up here)?
Thanks,
Craig.

its always worth checking with the environment agency, they can be funny buggers with water and would want to make sure you arent draining anything
extra into it.
No idea about suppliers of large pipes, sorry.

Hepworth supply drainage pipe.
I guess you should contact the environment agency or whatever they are called in Scotland to advise them you're doing it - worth asking your
neighbours if they had any discussions with the EA
