Dodgy or what,

Remember this quad I was looking at, said the bidding looked a bit iffy on it ???

Take a look at the bid history now......, think my suspicions was pretty spot on.

No, click on the bids its just gone down too zero, most of the retracted bid's I'm pretty sure he put on himself, he too as zero feedback but seems too know a lot about ebay if you read his listing, most of the bidders where a male name then four figures too...........

edit too add........... its back up too one bid now, did get up too over £400 at one stage, but plenty of zero feedback bidders.

hes had his mates bidding it up! Very unethical You can do that below reserve in house auctions, not sure where ebay stands on it though.

ebay call it 'shill bidding', and its very naughty.

a mate of mine got booted off ebay for doing something very similar.

Are you 'bikecars' jon? Just checked your feedback and the only one was from 'horsejune41' whos that then?

Anyway, does seem very dodgy, not quite sure what he was up to cancelling all those bids as some where up to £400 and he gave different reasons for alot.

Some he says item not available then later on he says seller didnt want item.

Hmm....

Not sure it's quite as dodgy as you think.

Most of the retractions were within the last 24 hours, saying "sold" or "no longer for sale". My guess is that he's sold it elsewhere but with ebay you can't pull an auction in the last 24 hours.

He should have had a "i reserve the right to pull the auction, advertised elsewhere" clause in the advery but he didn't - but with no feedback he's clearly a noob so may not have known this etiquette.
