Nice one, my old dear is addicted to the show, just beat the banker and got £64000

Now can I personally drop into Noel Edmonds place and extract the £64000??

One of his GT40's will do

Normal is getting dressed in clothes that you buy for work and driving through traffic in a
car that you are still paying for - in order to get to the job you need to pay for the clothes
and the car, and the house you leave vacant all day so you can afford to live in it.

went all the way for 75k

in reality id've stopped a few turns ago and dealt at 69k.

the average of what you start with, ie what you would randomly win, is actually 25k, hence loosing the 10k etc still increases the probable total. But people on the show groan when the 20, 15, 10 etc! They need to do the sums again

Well if you played the game many times (going right till the end) you'd end up with an average of 25k per game, sure. But you only get one shot (in real life), and there are 17 boxes lower than 25k and only 5 higher. So for just one game you're over three times more likely to get an amount below the average! In fact you've only got a 50-50 chance of getting a grand or more.

I'd be disappointed for any amount I reveal that is a 'decent' sum of money, as the odds of me winning that sum or more are now reduced. 10, 15, 20K are certainly decent sums of money so it's reasonable to hear groans from when they are revealed! The mean of the starting amounts of money has no real significance in a single game.

Personally I'm sick to death of the show as it's put on every day at home . I can't stand the way Noel over dramatises it as if there is actually some kind of battle of wits going on between the player and banker! What a load of bollox!! I predict it'll get boring very quickly and disappear. Here's hoping.

Great flash game though!! Must have another goooooo...

About as addictive as catching your sack on that rusty nail you left sticking out of a deckchair!

I *HATE* that program. The only interesting thing about it is watching how dumb the contestant is and seeing Noel Edmunds skill in actually keeping people watching for 30mins what is effectively just a 1 in 20 random choice!

Cheers,
Grumpy old man.

I find the game compulsive beacuse I'm interested in statistics and outcomes. The show is way too long and is full of provaracation. I'd buy it if it were a board game but I'd have to play on my own as my wife hates it.

dealt at £20,000 which was the highest offer. I had £750 in the box. Nice. It looked like I was going to be left with £250,000 and £1000 as my last two boxes.
