Trek Everest Base Camp in aid of Cancer Research UK

Everest, the highest mountain in the world!

Having just completed our build and on the road, I am now setting out on what is my project for the coming year.
I have signed up to trek Everest base camp from 24th March to 14th April 2007 in aid of Cancer Research UK, and need to raise £4000 in sponsorship. So guys and gals if any of you feel you can sponsor me it would be greatly appreciated. You can send your donation by cheque or Paypal

Information about the trek

With 8 of the world’s 10 highest peaks, Nepal is loaded with spectacular mountain vistas. Everest Base Camp is justifiably famous, not only for its proximity to the world’s highest mountain (8848m, 29493ft) but also for its friendly Sherpa people, picturesque villages and great variety of cultures and traditions, colourful festivals and monasteries.

This is a strenuous trek and requires a regular rigorous training schedule in preparation for the challenge to reach Everest Base Camp at 5630m.

6-12 hours trekking per day, over 16 days, over steep terrain at altitude.

The possibility of altitude sickness is always present and there is exposure to sheer drops and ridges.
