UK plate size
I'm trying to get some dimension from a picture and the only reference to size i have is the plate of the car which is the square UK plate. Can
someone give me an exact size HxW of the plate.
As i'm not from there...
thank's !
If someone think SVA is tough you've got to see what the SAAQ require here...Still searching a way to get a project on the road.....

AFAIK there is no regulation size for the plate itself but the numbers & letters have to be 79mm high and 50mm wide (except for the figure 1)
If the plate doesn't have a Euro logo then the letters are 57mm wide

I think they are normally 11in x 8in, but there are so many people making up all sorts of nonstandard sizes it's hard to be absolutely sure.
Post the picture so we can have a look for other clues (light sizes for example).

Mine is
280x200mm or roughly 11"x8" with nothing but letters and numbers on.
yours, Pete
I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

It may be a stupid question, but why does a builder in Quebec need to know the size of a UK number plate?

when they have a photo and the only thing that seems obvious as a reference for scale is the reg plate.

Why the plate!!!
the picture is from an ariel atom... viewed from the back. No real size reference for me there. light? difficult... As humburg ask why, it's
obvious as iank said and more precise than a light size...
As why ? planning a built... as brammo atom are not cheap here i'm trying to figure a locost way using a civic or RSX as a donor. i have access
to a cnc bending facility nearby a good welder. If anyone got access to an atom i would apreciate some help...cad plan for the chassis in the work
now...
