SAVATE: finals of British Championships
Well... for those interested (  ) it's the finals (part 4) of the British Savate (kickboxing) Championships on Sunday.
In the league most of the categories are decided already except mine (70-76kg).
If I win on Sunday I'll be British Champion.
I've got through to the end of each of the previous 3 competitions and met the same opponent each time in the final!
He won the first.
We drew the 2nd.
I won the 3rd.
So we're on 26 to 25 points (I lost one point for a first round disqualification). Assuming that I meet him in the final again I *have* to win
to get the 10points I need so pretty tense.
Have been training pretty hard for it- both running for fitness, technique and sparring, and dieting to make sure I can fight! 
So wish me luck... I'm gonna need it.

The point standings are so close, but just remember 'You wuz robbed' with the point penalty back in the summer....
Time for retribution (controlled of course, don't want to lose any more points... )

I know I looked a bit surprised when I came out of that 'Blue Oyster' bar in Glasgow but I can assure you: NOTHING HAPPENED! 
I know it's a bad photo (not put up here by me- Thankyou ChrisW  ) but I hadnt realised that was the impression it gave!
At this point, I think I ought to point out that my *girlfriend* is currently 60-65kg:

Make sure you let us all know how you get on & remember this, its the taking part that counts (but winning makes it less painful).
