Kit car names
Okay.... here we go!!!!!
Two months before my wedding @ Hedingham Castle
http://www.hedinghamcastle.co.uk
I foolishly said I wanted the tables named after kit cars... SWMBO said okay... now I'm struggling to get names which don't sound
strange... Not sure many people would want to sit on table "GTS"- not that I've got anything against GTS mind Sent my swivel
joints very quickly so they did...... Top service... Phew, got out of that one
Anyhow... what to put down as tables. Any answers gratefully received..
I've come up with
Fisher
Sylva
Ginetta
Caterham
Locost (sounds a bit cheap for a wedding mind!!!- not sure about that one)
(I don't think table "Stuart Taylor Motorsport " would somehow work regardless of how loyal I am to my car!!!)
Preferably something that doesn't sound too wierd!!! Tornado would probably be out of the question....
Help!!!!!!!!!!!

Maybe model names would open things up a bit, ie
Fury
VortX
MegaBlade etc

Not quite!!! I'm driving to the wedding in the LocoPan and it's outside the mansion house for the post-wedding photos Luckily I'm
driving up the night before so if I break down it'll only be my pride that's hurt!!!!
I was supposed to be driving off with my missus after the wedding (only to return 5 minutes later for the reception) but twin pipes and a fricking
expensive silk dress don't sound like a good combination!!!!
When I think what I could do with the money being blown on that dress.....

Seeing as the majority of my family and her's haven't met I might try and keep away from angry names!!! We're thinking about hiring
a vet with a tranquiliser gun as it is....... but that's another story.....

For the table that's going to cause the biggest ruckus - Furore!
I no longer run Furore Products or Furore Cars Ltd, but would still highly recommend them for Acewell dashes, projector headlights, dominator
headlights, indicators, mirrors etc, best prices in the UK! Take a look at http://www.furoreproducts.co.uk/ or find more parts on Ebay, user names
furoreltd & furoreproducts, discounts available for LCB users.
Don't forget Stainless Steel Braided brake hoses, made to your exact requirements in any of around 16 colours.

Though I quite like the idea of the honeymoon bed having a sign over it saying
"big end ball joint collapsible column"

Whatever happened to "live and let live" or "each to their own"?
I was asking for suggestions not permission to do it
Anyway, are you miserable and twisted about weddings in general or just having tables named after cars?

thats not that wierd, my dad used to be an it manager and had named all the computers after thomas the tank engine names, and the server was called
the fat controller!
thought it was fantastic myself but when the company was taken over by an plc they made him change the names to more conventional numbers.

Hows about going with model names rather than manufacturers eg
phoenix
fury
striker
panther
libra
lend themselves well, otherwise change tack and go for circuit names eg
spa
lemans
daytona
nurburgring
laguna seca
silverstone
brands
etc.
beware, I've got yellow skin

Ooooh! I like it!!! Circuit names.... That's quite cool Historic ring to it as well!!! I suppose the only trouble with car names is often
they have quite aggressive macho names, not very touchy feely for the women to be on a table called "Fury" or "Riot"!!!
My main worry was the table with my bro's girlfriend on. Should I name it Ginetta after her car, Ultima after the one she really wants or MG
after my Uncle who's on the same table and has restored more MGs than I've had hot dinners.... Perhaps I'll just call it Silverstone
and everyone will be happy..... As long as I don't call a table Cadwell Park and remind everyone of where my brother barrel-rolled his Blackbird
Fury and almost flambeyed himself everyone will be happy....
Dilema... still, it's quite a nice decision to make... Makes a change from "Highbury", "Anfield", "White Hard
Lane" etc and rather more exciting than "1", "2" and "3"....

Deffo go for circuit names. Will take less explaining than kit car names. You could put the circuit outline next to the name aswell.
