Bleeding Brakes!

Anyone local want to come round and give me a hand bleeding the brakes off?

All my mates are bikers and laugh at the idea of the car... can't wait to show them!

The wifey and the lad are too inept to understand what to do

Steve

I've got an easi bleed thing, and I'll be in Durham on Tuesday Night. I could drop it off if you want. Only condition is that I get it back soon. As I'm in the middle of sorting the brakes on the Porka.

EDIT: Actually I'll be at Chester Le St Cricket club.

you can make yoourself a one man bleeding thingy. Don't have photos so will attempt to describe it.

You need a piece of thin wall plastic tuing that fits over the bleed nipple. Then take 50 mm brake pipe, solder up one end and drill a 1 mm hole in the side. I

If you have pipe flaring tool, put a flare on the open end and this should fit quite tightly into you tube. A short length of the same tube is slipped over the hole in the pipe to act as a one way valve. If the tube is thick walled, it may not flex enough so it would be hard to open the valve resulting in the tube comming off the nipple. (ask me how I found that out -but you can shave the tube wall on the outdie to make it weaker = easier to open).

And hey presto, a locost one man brake beelding tihingy.
