welding a sprinter intercooler

i have a hole in my intercooler! I suspect this is what has caused a whole range of problems. Garage want £270 to fix it, if i fit it myself if just parts at £165. Since im selling it though id rather just get it welded up!

So, does anyone know what it will be made of (stainless or ally?!) and where in leeds can i get it bodged?!

Or would that chemical metal sort it?

Thanks!

intercoolers are alloy with plastic ends you could try chemical metal as theres not much boost. or get a cooler from the scrapyard you might have to make the pipe longer or something like that if its smaller.
adam

ps. i bodged mine with body filler till i got another one on my van

forgot to say the new one was 2 years later lol and the bodged one was still ok. i should of left it on and saved some money.
