Couple of people at work had them.....soon got rid of them and bought a Tomtom! Cant say ive used a Garmin, but have tried most of the software
satnavs on my pocketpc, all rubbish as far as im concerned, none seem to route as well as Tomtom even if they have a lot of extras and eye
candy......if it doesnt route well, the novelty soon wears off! Igo myway (MioMap) is pretty good, maps are amazing, just a shame the routing isnt up
to scratch.
Hope that helps a little

I've had a Tom Tom Go! 510 for a couple of years which has done me well but last night I was so impressed with the Tom Tom Go! 520's (or
Tom Tom Go! 720) ability to actually recognise your voice so that you can speak the destination...
bought it straight away and my mum will get a second hand Tom Tom fopr Christmas!
he he
I tested it thoroughly last night on the way down to London... even works with high levels of road noise (and acts as a bluetooth hands free phone
thingy too!)
Tom Tom get my vote everytime.
Second best Garmin
Apparently Sony had a recall on some of their Sat Navs???

Agreed with the above - i'd stick with the proven TomTom. A friend of mine bought the Sony and took it back within the week to get a TomTom
instead.

I have the earlier version the NV-U50
Works ok, does navigation like you would want to, but is clearly and older thing than something like a Navman.
I like mine, but wouldn't go so far as to actually recommend one.

Sat Nav was reviewed this month (December's edition) of Pratical Classic.
Winner was NavMan S30 (£150). + Ease of use and accuracy - Clunky Voice
2nd - Road Angel Navigator 6000 (£180) + Accurate mapping and data - Small, costs to update and PC needed.
TomTom came joint 4th! They marked it down on the screen mount (it's not great to be honest, I had one..)
Can scan the article in and pdf it and post it if you like?
Quite good reading!
PS - Thanks Worx for the magazine...Might become a regular, it's a really good read!!
Opps...and the REASON I posted....The Sony came last!! 11/20. Screen mount (kept falling off windscreen!), speed cameras, traffic updates, ease of
use all let it down.
They did recommend this too which I thought was a good call. Not locost but still....
