ARP bolts in a pinto - maching requried?

All - anybody know if any machining needs doing to fit ARP rod bolts into a pinto? - I think I've read it is needed for Zetecs?

I think i heard the the same about the Pinto head bolts but not the Rod bolts however its always worth giving Burtonpower.com a ring

from what I can see in the ARP catalogue (download from ARP's site) they look like direct replacements, but I guess someone at burton power will know

but I have to ask why you want to fit them ?
the standard rods themself arn't that strong and are supposed to fail about 1" bellow the gudgeon pin rather than the bolts failing (according to Des Hammill's book at least)

cheap S/h from a cossie - but they are 0.060" longer so pistons where an issue and they need some kind of oil spray jet (like the ones on a cossie pickup pipe)

id fit them lol - this happened to me a few weeks ago lol

If you look carefully you can see the rad. That photo is taken from the back of the block where it meets the sump.
