As per title really. I know they're all basically just a venturi with a butterfly in, but anyone know a reason zzr1400 TB's won't work on a zetec.
nope. Possibly a little large for a standard zetec but should work OK.
One thought is, will they be bigger than the bore of a readily available manifold, if not then the step will seriously affect performance unless you machine the manifold to match
Unless it's a well tuned Zetec they will be too large IMO. Whilst it won't affect power so much, it will cause driveability problems since everything will happen in the first few degrees of throttle opening.

ZZR1400 throttle bodies have secondary butterflys (which can be removed with a bit of care)
there ok iv sold a few to various fitments and iv got 4 sets in stock plus 2 busa
you would be better though with gsxr 1000 k5/6 got these as well

this very problem was talked about in Walkers Workshop in PPC this month where they fitted 54mm bodies to a Duratec the throttle opening they said could be got over with a progressive linkage
