Pinto manifold

Hi everybody!
I'm looking for a bit of advice, I'm still really early in the build and playing around with ideas. I'm gonna use a 1.6 pinto from a sierra, I have bike carbs from a suzuki bandit i could use, the standard carb with manifold and also a pair of twin 40 idf's (upright webers). I don't have manifolds for the idf's or the bike carbs, does anyone have an opinion on which would be better and how hard it is to make a manifold. Also, would it be best to leave the original on until i've put the car through iva (definitely won't be finished in time for sva!)? My original plan was to put the idf's on with some super long polished trumpets coming up through the bonnet...... i think that would look sweet!

many will say bike carbs will give better economy, and be easier to set up. also a very common set up on here (i'm doing it too ) haven't got my engine running yet though.

manifold should be easy enough to do. something like this should do

cheers blake, gotta say as well that I love the idea of a low racing truck, are they tube chassis and fibreglass or are they standard trucks with fiddled suspension? One of my friends has a video he took at santapod of a hi-lux with a 600bhp supra engine, that thing flew!

I've got bike carbs on my 1.6 pinto, loads of pictures in my gallery of the manifold I made. No problems with sva just left off the air filters and didn't cut tthe hole in the bonnet until after sva.

Cheers
