I read somewhere the black and silvertop Zetec cams are different,, can't remember where, but its a bit of a bugger, cos I've got a pair of brand new silvertop 2.0L cams, and intended to fit them in my 1.8 blacktop.

I know silver is hydro, and black has solid lifters, but whats the difference in the cams, and is fitting them to my engine a waste of time?

The cams have different profiles to cope with the different lifters, the silvertop cam wont last long with solid lifters.
