Any help appreciated I started my Indy for the first time this week end but I find that as it warms up the idle speed increases. I am running a 2.0l pinto with an ECU and 32/34 weber. It sounds like it is "weazing" could this be a vacuum leak and would that give the symptons I am seeing, and how do you detect where the leak is...? Thanks guys.

I'd brush on some engine oil round the manifold joints and see if any areas become dry then that’s where the leak is. You'll also see some blue smoke in the exhaust and that will confirm the fact. You'll hear loads of hissing on idle anyway with that carb, it just how they are. The engine will always increase its idle speed when warm due to the engine being vastly more efficient than when cold. That’s why you set idle speed at normal temperature.

Too much messing about brushing oil . Spray suspect area with WD40 , engine speed will increase if leak is found . Quicker and cleaner than using oil.

I'm with Rusty Nuts on this, WD40 (or similar) works a treat.
