What is A.P.I SH oil?

It's based on the United States military system of oil classification.

API = American Petroleum Institute

S stands for 'Spark' and denotes a petrol engine. H denotes the performance of the oil. SH being the highest and SA the lowest

Oil is rated by quality, 'A' being very poor, I have never seen oil rated better than SL, most general purpose oil is SJ these days.

So a decent semi synthetic halfords oil will exceed your requirement.

Well, being of a tight fisted persuasion, I usually tend to stick with a grade of oil best referred to as a PISH oil.

Don't think that'll be too similar.
