Hi folks. What are you guys doing for fuel tanks these days? Do people still consider lly tanks fine for road use, or are people moving toward cells with foam etc in case of a crash? Just wondering, I was intending to use ally but not keen on the whole "fireball" idea much at all. Anyone done a DIY foam job?
You can fill an Ali tank fith foam still...
Ali is fine and would be my preferred choice for a tank in a seven...
Personally, I think aluminium tanks are perfectly fine for road use, provided you use some common sense when fitting them. If you think too long and
hard about all the safety issues then you probably wouldn't build a kit car at all.
