replace Ford crossflow mechanical fuel pump

as in titkle, by an electric facet pump.

any advantage doing this? estimated bhp unlikley to exceed 120 bhp.

been runninig on 1300 with twin dcoe's and not experience fule starvation.

If it aint broke, Dont fix it.

If you do fit an eleccy pump, fit a £1 filter BEFORE the pump, to stop the crap that gets in the tank from FUBAR'ing your new pump. It helps making it all reliable.

Also for carbs you want a low pressure pump. NOT an injection pump (if getting from a scrappy)

Facet are nice pumps. I use one on my Webber 500 Carb

Also fit a Inertia switch from an injected car. Then switch the pump with a relay, and put the inertia switch in the control (relay coil) wire to the relay (not the power feed).
The if you have an accident, it should switch the pump off.

Get one from a scrappy 95 Fiesta its in the passenger footwell under a hole in the sidewall behind the trim.
plastic unit with 3 wires and a red button in the top and a rattly ball bearing inside.
Orientate in the same plane as fitted in the Fiesta so you get the inertia reactions set properly.
