As the title says really.
Is it possible to clean a car clutch plate that's been soaked in oil?
If so how?
It's an AP Racing one so quite expensive, and only 2 months old.

if its soaked i'd have thought its had it...
brake cleaner might be your best bet though?
I've been told that soaking in dry cleaning fluid followed by a thorough drying works, but I haven't personally tried it.

Pepsi max, honestly, always had a bottle in the tool kit in my grass tracking days, cures a wet slipping clutch in nanoseconds.
I had a RV8 fastened to a Audi box in a class ten, oil seal leaked for a whole season, coke down hole before each meeting job done, guess I should
have repaired seal but coke was easier.
edit to add, put a proper engine in, they like oil on the clutch..........

boiling it in water is best bet, but that means getting it out....
Thats a pity dave, I am off out in the locost tomorrow and was going to head over your way!
May well go to Bridgnorth now or somewhere nearer the welsh border if the weather holds out!

You must have tried the 2p left in a glass of coke thing ?
If not try it, may put you off drinking coke when you see the results.
Yeah done that. It jams up the coinstar machine
