blakep82 - 26/4/09 at 08:50 PM

getting well annoyed (to put it politely) with my engine, and making it work, and stuff...

just about ready for throwing in the towel with making my bike carb manifold

how much is one likely to cost from bogg bros?

big_wasa - 26/4/09 at 08:51 PM

~£200

MUCHO DOLLAR!

i have a stainless manifold done for my R1 carbs and with re-jetting, and pipercross filter set up and it was close to £400

I believe I was quoted £185 for one. Funny thing is when I was working on the Capri a couple of years ago when the bike carb thing started gaining steam thats how much it cost for a V6 manifold!

not feeling much happier about the whole situation

big_wasa - 26/4/09 at 08:55 PM

Yep the filter is around £100 of that.

the filter is £100 of what? if just the manifold itself is likely to be £100 i'm happy enough with that lol (i know it won't be though...)

No sorry part of the £400 omega payed.

There work is very nice.

omega0684 - 26/4/09 at 09:05 PM

here's mine when i was running carbs

blakep82 - 26/4/09 at 09:08 PM

they are good, but i don't have £200 to spend on something i could really do myself (and probably arse it up again)

I dont think he'd mind the business at all:

His name is Damian Evans and his email address is:

dhautowelding@live.co.uk.

He does MIGing and TIGing I believe and is able to fabricate a lot of underbonnet items (catch tanks, swirl tanks, airboxes). If anybody does contact him could you let him know my name? As I've not bought my manifold yet he wont know me, but it will help when I give him a call and let him know I've given him so business
