Hi all,
Couple questions about fitting my bike carbs
1. How crucial is the angle of the carbs?
2. What thicknesses should the follwing be?
a) Manifold plate?
b) Manifold tubes?
Thanks
Mikkel
Good if you can get them to the original angle, but doesn't matter too much. Thickness of the plate and tubes doesn't really matter either,
thicker stuff is usually easier to weld, and a bit sturdier.

i would be better to get the carbs as close to the original angle as that is the way they are designed, remember the float chambers are designed to be at that angle.
How do i know what the correct angle is?
What is the usual thickness used?
what carbs are you using?
i think that most people could with a 4 or 5 mm plate for the mounting face to the block and about 1.5 or 2 mm should be plenty for the inlet tubes

had a quick look jacko, your manifold looks great!
Does the inside need brazing and machining like you have done?
