Just thinking ahead, what sort of money would I be aiming at spending on a sierra 7" LSD in 3.62 ratio?
Also I seem to remember someone mentioning that you could swap the joints on some drive shafts so I could retain my drum brakes at the rear and have
bolt on shafts at the diff? Anyone done it?
Or should I just bite the bullet and fit discs at the back too? Anyone running wilwood powerlites at the front and sierra discs on the back with the
std sierra MC?

I paid £150 for mine, depending on their state I would say between £100 and £175
50-150 for the diff
100-150 for the whole back end
50% of the value of the whole sierra!
I think the normal way of doing it is to get an LSD with push in joints if you want to retain your drums, or swap to disks and lobros.
I am doing it the unusual way - having obtained a set of lobro shafts and stubs from an early european 2.0 4x4 sierra which had drums on the back.
Fingures crossed they will be a straight swap for the drum brake stubs I am running now.
When I get a chance to fit them, I will let you all know if it fits... That won't be for a few weeks yet though as I have a lab about to pup, and
I need to sell the horse
BTW I am going for the 3.9 diff as the 3.6 is too high for me.
I have a 3.92 open diff at the moment, not sure if it will be too low for the duratec, possibly not as it revs the same as the pinto....
Like I said, just thinking ahead really.
