you do get a lot of road/mechanical noises, best to find someone local to go out with you and use their ears incase it,s something naughty

Assuming you can't find anything actually rubbing - tyres/driveshafts/prop etc then I'd put it down to increased mechanical noise.

These cars are pretty basic and you will hear/feel everything that's going on. The diff is solidly mounted too which creates a lot more vibration/whine even wehn everything is working tickety-boo. Takes a little getting used to.

Best of luck with IVA tomorrow - keep us posted on your progress

wait till its on the rollers at the sva, every little sound is about an inch away with no noise from rushing air etc.

I was like batfink for every tiny noise.

Good luck with IVA - when all the worrying is over would love to meet up as I'm not too far from you in Pulborough.

Its a strange sensation driving these cars for the first time. Your senses are alive to check for faults. Its not unusual for your brain to trick you into thinking something is wrong when in fact all is normal. When you get out on the road you will also notice all sorts of smells - usually from other vehicles and farms etc? (and from your cecks if you boot it in the rain).
