Im a little bit confused with how to plumb the engine in (im not that close to running but need a order a few bits so thought id get my hoses whilst
im at it)
This picture shows how it is in the BMW
As you can see there are 5 outlet/inlets on the engine (2 on the green bit), and the red bit goes into a hole on the block.
But there are a few changes to how it is here and how it will be in the car.
1. there will be no heating system.
2. The header tank will be a seperate unit (on the BMW it was integral in the Rad).
Can anyone help with what lines i need to run and where from etc. i cant make any sense out of that diagram
Thanks
Mikkel
20 is the send and return to the heater matrix.
11 is (I'm guessing) a heater bypass valve.
Easiest thing I think would be to ditch the heater bypass valve and plumb 10 straight to 16, and ditch the heater matrix plumbing 19 on the green to
19 on the red.
Plumb your expansion tank into 4 (which is plumbed into the expansion tank on the side of the rad in the picture).
If your radiator has a breather at the top, plumb this into one of the top breather points on the expansion tank, if it doesn't have a breather
you might want to add one to 1 using a self sealing hose take-off.
If you want to add a temp sensor (for instruments and/or fan) do it in 1.
All the above to be taken with a pinch of salt

Im using a polo rad.... does this have breather point?
So pipes 1 and 2 plumb into the top and bottom hoses on the rad as normal, 4 goes up to the header tank, connect the 2 19's (green and Red).
Im assuming since its just bypassing, i can block the two holes going to the bypass valve? (15 green and 16 red)

brilliant i thought this was going to be harder than it looks...
one more thing is there only one pipe going to the header? (not including the breather)
