
I intend to fit a pedal box to my tiger cat and looks possible to run a direct rod to the clutch arm of the gearbox.
Clutch actuation by pushing the clutch pedal using may be rose joints.
Has anyone attempted this on a kit car.

Mmm, if you are planning a direct rod between the pedal and the clutch arm it will become very difficult.
Suppose a normal clutch has a clamping force of 600kg (more or less) and your clutch arm has a 3:1 leverage arm. This means your foot has to press
200kg to engage the clutch
Unless you are a bodybuilder, pressing the clutch will be very difficult

in this rod system, all he's doing is replacing the cable with rods?

I have a similar clutch setup as Wyns.
It works lika a charm.
Doesn't the fact that the gearbox moves around make life difficult?
At least with a cable, or with hydraulics, there's a flexible link between the pedal and the box.

Wyn has done a pull rod clutch
I intend to retro fit a Wyn type system. Engine doesn't move around too much and the rose joints in the system will be enough slack.
Drilling holes along the pivot bar to adjust the bias will also help set up a nice pedal feel. would be great for a upgraded clutch IMO.
The cable bend is too acute on mine and I reckon may lead to premature failure., and there's no adjuster on it making it a pain to take off.
There's also the stop, that can be incorporated into the pivot rather than the pedal box in the footwell that I can't reach.
In fact there's so many advantages I want to do it right now!
