Had the engine running for the first time time today....
standard 2.0 pinto running cbr900 carbs on home made manifold..

Nice one fella, great feeling when she fires up for the first time, your exhaust is very nice mate, did you make it?
Cheers
Rich
it was a very nervous time..
its the 3rd kit ive helped build but this one is all mine...
the manifold is a GBSC (formerly robin hood)...
and very good value for money..
i went for the mild steel rather than the stainless option and sprayed with VHT paint...
Wow, looks like a nice tidy build
One question though...
Why is the engine so far forwards? I would it looks like there is plenty of space to push it well back into the car to get the weight distribution
right..
well done, its a real buzz when you hear her for the first time
2nd nice exhaust looks very well made,i wish i could say the same for there pinto inlet flanges i got one the other day it was all over the place,
had mine running for the first time about 15 minutes ago
very rough, and cut out itself after about 5 sec, but good enough for me
awesome feeling
definitely got my enthusiasm right back again
well done, looks real tidy! engine is a bit far forward, but its all still behind the front whells, so all good

Nice one
No vid?
the engine is as far back as it will go..
got about 25mm from bulkhead to bell housing if that makes sense...
havent got the rad plumbed in yet so couldnt run it for too long..
will do a vid as soon as its running properly...
