ReMan - 10/6/09 at 08:23 PM

Kilo Pascals
very nice, specially the red ones

Flamez - 10/6/09 at 08:24 PM

Korean People's Army

or a measurement of pascal a unit of pressure or stress

lotusmadandy - 10/6/09 at 08:24 PM

Did you check your compression today?
Off topic i know but i am interested to know what it reads.

Andy

ReMan - 10/6/09 at 08:25 PM

thgough King pin Angle is probably more car related.
I think it's to do with wearing your tires out in corners

ReMan - 10/6/09 at 08:26 PM

That'd be KPI (king pin inclination)

dave107 - 10/6/09 at 08:30 PM

As Reman.

Wikepedia is good for those sort of thing.

ReMan - 10/6/09 at 08:37 PM

Are angle and inclination not the same thing?

Only if you have the time.

austin man - 10/6/09 at 08:42 PM

Did you see reference to this on a VW ??

true, but the angle of the king pin is almost exclusively refered to has KPI, king pin inclination. I belive angle is mostly used a laymans term, and most probably wouldnt be used shortened into an acronym type thing

edit to add quote (i wasnt quick enough )

kPa = kilo Pascal = 1000 Pascals

The Pascal is the SI unit of pressure defined as 1 Newton per square metre.

1 kPa = 0.14 psi

or as my old lecturer used to say, about as much as a mouse fart lol

austin man - 10/6/09 at 08:54 PM

isn it the measurement of power akin to BHP my golf I'm sure is measured in KPA may be wrong though

So the Pascal theaory could well be correct if the torque is the measurement rather than the BHP

martyn_16v - 10/6/09 at 09:04 PM

Them metric types measure power in kW not kPa.

Which is ofcause why 90% of things get written in kPa, MPa, or GPa!

Maybe you're thinking of PS (Pferdestärke) which is damn nearly an equivalent to Horsepower (HP of course - but not the brown sauce)

I'm angled to agree with this!

I have never heard it called King Pin Angle.

jpindy3 - It might help to know what context you are asking

Litemoth - 11/6/09 at 08:16 PM

I've heared it called "Strut Angle Inclination" as a modern evolution of King Pin Inclination (as cars haven't had king-pins in quite a while now)

He's turboing an engine - must be talking pressures. So it's kilopascal.

Unless he means the Kidney Patient Association, or perhaps the Keele Postgraduate Association?

Liam

jpindy, what was the answer you were looking for?? im all aflame with curiosity!
