was going to pick the car up at Newark at the weekend but I understand that she's developed a problem with 4th gear - she'll drive quite happily but when cruising in 4th she'll just pop out of gear !
The gearbox has been out and checked and appears fine - anybody got any ideas ?

few things like selector forks,baulk rings or stick getting knocked.Probably cheaper to replace box.

it's a newly reconditioned box, which has been out and sent back and checked so that should be ok

The way things are going piran you should change your profile to say "building: a pile of bills and nothing to show for it " or possibly something more derogative for a certain person

if the adaptor plate was slightly out would that give these symptoms ?

If you get stuck I have a spare MT75 you can have for cheap money.
