jpindy3 - 19/6/09 at 08:34 PM

hi i have asked but it takes a little time to get a reply,
where do you conect the built in soft rev limiter wire to off of the mj,as i say its a v3 map.

http://www.autosportlabs.net/MJLJ_V3_vehicle_installation_guide#Rev_Limit_control

right down the very bottom.

the soft limit just sets the MJ unit to set the advance to 0 degrees, 100RPM before the set rev limit is reached, so no wiring is needed for it, just choose the option on megajolt configurator. i think anyway. the instructions on that one aren't particularly clear

oh ok the wire coming out of the mj must be for the hard rev limit,

sorry im crap at spelling and reading,i must have not read that bit propally

thanks

yeah, i think the output is for the seperate hard limiter you can get, but it doesn't really say that anywhere. it mentions it, then says the hard limiter is under development lol. its really not very clear. the MJ website is terrible. having a .com, .net, and .org for diffeent bits of it, takes me 10 minutes to find anything on there!

The output is to trigger an optional hard limiter. So dont worry about it unless you have one.

I have my mj limit set to 6500 to protect the engine a bit as im sposed to be running it in. But it revs straight past it most of the time.

Sounds right to me.

Ive made the reverse mistake of commoning the power the coil and edis rather than power the coil from the mjlt as i have the hard cut revlimiter.

That said, its only my test/juryrigged loom so proberbly not a bad test to run without the hardcut.
