where do you measure nptf threads?

Yes it has always confused me from what i remember i think it revolves around the pipe bore size , nominal bore.

yeah, its something like that. all sorted now, i can go order my fuel lines and fittings, except they don't seem to have the hose in stock. great...

I could be reading this wrong but I would suspect that you are possibly looking for 1/4" npt.

The measurement of the external 1/8 npt is 0.405" so there for the measurement of the internal hole would have to be smaller (2x depth of thread)

1/8" npt has an internal measurement of 11/32" (0.34" or 8.7mm)

1/4" npt has an internal measurement of 15/32" (0.47" or 11.9mm)

Also gut feeling is that 1/8" npt would be too small for a fuel system unless it was for a gauge or something similar.
