Hi,
Need some info on the type 9 gearbox mount.
Mine is the two bolts to the chassis style (one each side) and the gearbox drops into the centre of it.
But is there ment to be a bolt threading up into the box to hold it into the mount??
I ask as mine doesn't seem to have anything there but i can see a nice threaded hoel that looks like a bolt shoudl well be sitting in it to hold
it all together......
Looking at the vibra tecnics mount (alloy version) Anyone tried this???
cheers again
Yes, there is a bolt that holds the mount into the bottom of the gearbox. Can I also ask a type 9 question? - mine has a bolt where the reverse switch should be - do I just remove this and insert a switch or is it more complicated???.....
hey,
thanks. Does the bolt just thread all the way in until it is against the rubber??
And sorry i dont know about reverse switch, i dont run one.
Yes, just nip it up with a blob of threadluck.

I assume they are the same dimensions etc for fitting...

Hi oldtimer
I think the switch just screws in, as it is a plunger switch.
If you need one I think I have one spare somewhere?

i have one from caterham on the way and am hoping it will fit as mine mounts in between the chassis rails. Not sure if it will fit yet but i am sure
something can be made to work.
thanks
