Two methods --

(1) Use a stethoscope (OK a bit of rubber tube) to search and locateor a whistle type noise.

(2) Use a carb cleaner aerosol to search for a leak ----- engine note will change. --- BUT be verty careful obvious fire risk.

I've heard of people using WD40 for this too, not sure if that posses more or less of a fire risk?

sorry to sound confused but how do i go about this. Do i just spray around the manifold and what do i expect to be able to see if anything.

Spray around any suspect joints , engine revs will increase if you squirt onto an area with a leak.
