Whats the part of the gearbox that stop you from putting the car in reverse by accident? ( a small ally block at the bottom of the gearstick). Thanks

This is a poicture I took of all my bits when making my remote, sorry cant help with the dimensions though.

Having a quick look and others seem to call it a detent, not sures who's right but may help your search.

Take a look at my website - [WWW] button below - and follow the link for 'special parts' and 'remote gearchange'.

You'll see some pictures that illustrate the way it works (and how I reproduced its functionality on the extension).

There's a pic of my extender in my blog here: linky which may also help. I actually had to weld on another piece to make the gap smaller (where the red circle is) to stop accidental selection of reverse.

Thats what i understand it to be called also.

My box has a spring to prevent reverse being engages by accident.
