camshaft Identification

Hi Just stripping the engine that came with my part build.

It has obviously been rebuilt and never run but I dont have any history of it.

The head has been ported and I am wondering if the cam is non standard

On the back end there are some markings

M2 space then a 2 turned 90 deg left then 70

opposite this there in a faint number S12-8

And in another point there is a UK stamped.

Any Ideas ?
I have looked on Burtons site and cannot see anything that comes close.

Cheers

I'll try again with a better camera but they dont show up very well.
If camera fails I will draw them out and photo that.

Mike
Been on the piper site and yes it looks like it's a piper fast road cam with 270 deg duration.

Thanks

You can go up a cam or two easily, the 285 is very good al-rounder, you could go to 300 as long as you have higher compression ratio to make the cam work
