Hi all, i just got these bike carbs off a mate dirt cheap
he says there off a ZX6 does that look right?
Can anyone tell me what these two parts are for, i'm pointing at them in the pictures.
In that last photo what are the black things down the trumpets? choke flaps?
cheers
Look good to me, ask him for the other 3 inlet rubbers though as this cost a fair bit
Look in good condition though.
Cheers
Rich
1st pic is the choke mechanism
2nd pic is a breather of some sort
They are Honda.

The black things down the trumpets are the slide pistons... They slide up and down accourding to the flow through the trumpets and the needles are attached to the end of them.

I still say Honda.
Stick cbr carbs into ebay and you will see carbs like yours.
Do the same for zx6r or others kwak's and I cant see one set like yours.
What do they measure at the inlet dia ?
I have a set of blade carbs in the garage and have had another four sets.

I've got 3 sets of zx6 carbs and none look like that. I agree that they are probably CBR600 carbs.
Stu
The inlet dia is 38mm and th manual that unclefista posted is definetaly the one for the carbs i have so they must honda ones cheers for your help, i'l probably have a load more questions when it comes to jet sizes etc
Altiss engineering also do the same service as Bogg Bro's
http://www.altiss.com/ThrottleBodies.html
Suzuki ones would be easier the modify though - Jenvey throttle bodies are 42mm the GSXR 750 are the same.
