
What are my clutch options for 300+bhp?
I can re drill my flywheel to suit a HD clutch (I know a 220mm zetec clutch cover will fit straight on it without mods) but is one of these likely to
take over 300bhp and 220lbft of torque?
Or am I into the realms of 7.25" race clutches? And lots of cash? 
Will a diesel clutch fit? That should take the torque.

found a clutch the right size for a DERV and got them to send one to my local National stockist. The pressure plate was £20!

Look like what I need is a CP5360-2 coverplate from AP Racing.
220mm pressure plate which will fit on my flywheel without any other mods. Its meant to use a sintered paddle plate, but unless I can find a 220mm one
with the right centre, then I will just use my std organic one and see what happens.
Its rated to 230lbft of torque so should be enough!
These are fitted to xr3 and rs turbo escorts apparently.

some clutches avliable here...
I am not using a normal aftermarket duratec flywheel though. Mine is from a 1.8 (zetec i think having done some more digging) and as such the
performance duratec clutches wont fit and they wont take the torque either sadly.

i now have an AP friction plate just need a pressure plate. What did you end up with as yours is different to mine due to the flywheel me

Also, are you getting your crank keyed?? i was looking to use SBD for mine as they fairly local....

I ended up with an uprated AP race plate from an RS Turbo, rated to 320lbft. Fits straight on my flywheel but the fitment will be different to
yours.
I did find out during my digging that the 'special' duratec flywheel and clutch combo all the tuning companies sell is the same clutch plate
as fitted to one of the newer MG's.
I am also going to be getting my crank keyed. I will be using scholar as they are my local place. £50 for the crank and pulley to be keyed, much
cheaper than SBD!
jesus, thats far cheaper. Where are they based?? i may have an issue with the dry sump pumps drive pulley too.
And i need to hunt a pressure plate to suit, may have a word with the guy i got the sump off, caterham built a 330hp duratec S so he may have an idea,
i have the same friction plate they used.
The one you have should be able to cope fine i recon, not much weight to move. I need to find out more about the diff between my flywheel and yours.
Need to wait for mine to arrive.

just found there website, email is on its way. Bit of a treck away from me though 
got the quote through already which i am bloody impressed by, nothign from SBD yet.
Scholar though to bore/hone the block for oversize, balance whole bottom end and do the key service all for under £300 including vat.
Time to find a pressure plate and make a trip to them
