i know part of why its there. it helps the engine warm up quicker, but once the engine's warm what else does it do?
what are the bad effects of removing it?
the thermostat is there to regulate the engine temp so as it warms up the stat opens allowing the water to go through the rad and cool down the engine and then when it reaches the correct temp the stat closes and stops the engine getting too cold so dont take it out as it can cause the engine to run too cold
Bore wash, high fuel consumption, high emissions , poor performance
cool, i'll leave it then. i thought it was only there to warm up quick. it would make my plumbing simpler if it wasn't there, but never mind
