Timing on a Pinto
55ant - 6/9/09 at 12:10 PM

well another day another question, hope everyones well.

ok well the timing on my pinto is out, or at least i would suspect it to be as it has not been altered since having kent fast road cams,

so i have borrowed some timing gear, a very smart snap-on unit, but i have never adjusted the timing on a car before, where can i find out the correct timings for it, i have been told 39? does this sound about right?

also, how do i do it!?

cheers all

Be sure which timing you need to alter, it sounds from your post that the tools you have are for adjusting ignition timing, the link alex gave you is for camshaft timing. They are 2 very different things!
