Where to buy inexpensive gearchange cable online?
cloudy - 7/9/09 at 02:59 PM

I'm looking for a push-pull gearchange cable of about 3 meters - Does anyone know a good place to buy? The boat places online seem pretty good on price, but most dont have a nut type bulkhead fitting...

Tried, but the bloke said their cables have the clip style arrangement, rather than a one like this:

I got mine from Venhill.
They are a bit pricey - but sometimes they have special offers on e-Bay (I got mine 1/2 price)
Went for a 6mm version rather than the 10/32" boat versions.

3 meters? what the hell is it for?

well probably more like 2.5 meters, it has to loop to the front of the car and back...

I assumed the clip type would allow too much play?

I'm looking too.
Just bought a replacement fron Cable-Tec Notts. The cable is about £30, for just over 1m though it won't be much more for longer, happy enough with the product and the price is OKish, but their postage is £15.00, so that's the last one from them.
