I had to cut the tail pipe off my silencer to make one of the bends in the exhaust so was wondering if i needed to put one back on?
The hole that is there at the moment is about 8" away from the rear wheel so i reccon it will be 4" max from the wheel arch. If i put a heat
sheild on the wheel arch, do you think it will be ok?
can you not stick a bend on it so it points outwards?
I imagine the heat will effect the fibreglass, 4 inches isn't much when that monster engine kicks out enough gas to kill a polor bear with each
revolution

the only kf near here has the bins behind gates
(had thought of that)
WARNING ^^ ABOVE POST doesn't give you permission to take your TINTOP to Kwick Fit.
y dont you just go into Kwik Fit and just ask if you can have a scrap one?

My car now sports a very aerodynamic hole in the wing after the exhaust cooked it on my first blast up the road

I might just see if i can improvise with something.
Thanks
I've seen a fair few burnt wings. I wouldn't risk it for the cost of the GRP.
Cheers,
James

nope, stainless, but very very thin (perfect for my water pipes though, 32mm O.D.)
