Braided fuel hose

Comments on braided fuel hose and IVA?? Ive got a receipt from the supplier along with a document that states its use as a fuel hose....

Is this enough...

Just starting to get worried about all the little things that are technically fine but IVA will have issues with..... just because they do..... as in ive heard they dont like braided fuel hose..

PS ive got alloy pipe through the main car and the braided hose is just the flexible part to the engine...

braided is fine.

interestingly though, last time i looked, the manual doesn't say anything about any markings needed on any type of hose. just requires it doesn't leak, and is securely fastened tot he car.

Yeah but there seems to be a lot of points people have failed on in the past that havent actually been mentioned in the IVA bible... things such as doubly securing the top mushroom insert for sierra stub axles... i cant see where thats mentioned in the bible yet it has been a fail point for some people. Seems as though the testers judgment can fail you... now fair enough they may be very experienced in the motor industry but it doesnt really give you something you can be 100% sure of passing...

I would personally do all that you can (within budget/time!), and assume you will fail.. Then you can sort out the issues, the only irritating thing about this is that you are not guaranteed the same inspector, and a different one might have different ideas..

If you are happy to drive it like it, it is probably as good a stab at a first time pass as you can get. Hopefully you will get the first time pass but don't count on it..

Cheers
