Alternator pulley
norfolkluego - 21/10/09 at 07:54 PM

(If the spinney thing on the front is called a pulley)
I was hoping to reuse the alternator from the Crossflow on the Zetec that's about to go in but the pulley is a narrow deep V shape and the Zetec belt wont fit, can they be changed (the pulley that is)

Yep, should just bolt straight on..

The large nut holding the pulley on will be tight. I needed an impact gun to get mine off.

Will a Zetec pulley fit as a straight swap?

If not, Flak Monkey is your man for making custom pulleys!

Cheers,

You might find they have different shaft sizes, but nearly all modernish alternators are either 14mm or 15mm shafts. Not sure what the crossflow one would be though.
